Stores / Warehouse Operative. Mid-East. Irlanda

We are currently expanding our team and are seeking a dedicated and motivated Stores Operative who is skilled in forklift operation to fill a newly created position within our company.  As the Stores Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management system.  Your primary responsibility will be to receive, store, and distribute materials, parts, and products within the company's stores or warehouse facility.  This role also involves operating a forklift to safely transport materials within the manufacturing facility.  Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

- Operate both a reach and counterbalance forklift to safely and efficiently unload and move materials between storage areas and production lines.

- Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment, reporting any defects or issues to the appropriate personnel.

- Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of incoming materials, components, and equipment against purchase orders or delivery notes.

- Unload, unpack, and organise received items in designated storage locations within the stores area.

- Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic systems or manual documentation and conducting regular stock checks.

- Conduct regular stock checks and participate in periodic inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.

- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for internal distribution or shipment to external customers.

- Collaborate with the production department, to ensure timely availability of materials.

- Prepare delivery notes by accurately documenting the items being shipped, their quantities, and any special instructions.

- Coordinate with the production department to ensure the delivery notes align with customer requirements.

- Book couriers or shipping services to arrange the pickup and delivery of goods and provide couriers necessary documentation.

- Monitor the progress of outgoing shipments and track their status to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

- Maintain communication with couriers to resolve any issues or delays in the delivery process.

- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Skills/Experience Required:

- Possession of a valid forklift license.

- Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is desirable.

- Strong organisational skills

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, delivery notes, and other related documents.

- Computer literate

- Commitment to following safety guidelines and maintaining a safe working environment.
