The Cambridge Epidemiology & Trials Unit (CETU) is looking to appoint a talented individual to a new and important role providing leadership across a range of research trials and studies.

The CETU ( gained provisional UK CRC accreditation in 2017 under the MRC Epidemiology Unit Director Professor Nick Wareham.

The research focus is to support investigator-led trials (non-CTIMP) that evaluate interventions, as well as supporting other well-designed studies.

The MRC Epidemiology Unit hosts the CETU within the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine where there is scientific expertise in protocol design, intervention development, data analysis, statistics, quantitative and qualitative evaluation and specialist infrastructure that can support studies recruiting thousands of participants.

The primary function of the Senior Trial/Study Manager is to develop and deliver day-to-day operations in line with our research strategy.

The post will lead a team that consists of study/trial coordinators and administrators, alongside a clinical testing team that carry out work within clinical research facilities and community settings.

Working with the CETU Directors, the role will lead the development of new projects that are driven by strategic collaborations or externally funded science.

The position will assist in the creation and development of partnerships and will be the key relationship manager for CETU trial and study management activity.

We are looking for an individual to lead the set-up and delivery of trials and studies.

You will need to have expert knowledge of running trials and studies, with the necessary experience of managing and developing teams working in a clinical research environment.

This includes knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory and research governance requirements to support the development and delivery of high-quality research with international impact.
