Team Manager Pilot Plant & Process Science (f/m/d)

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Senior Director, Characterization and Commercial Readiness, the Team Manager Pilot Plant & Process Science will be responsible for for leading the group *Pilot and Process Science* within the Characterization & Commercial readiness group of the Biologics Development Center. For this position, we are looking for a motivated candidate with excellent technical, communication and leadership skills that will organize the work of a team of biotechnicians, scientists and process engineers. The candidate must have demonstrate in the past capabilities of creative thoughts and team player behavior.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Guidance and supervision of the conception, execution and documentation of pilot process (USP and DSP) within the scope of work packages for clients or internal initiatives

- Hands on management of a team of biotechnicians and process engineers for the delivery of pilot batches and tech transfer to the commercial facility. A strong operational commitment is expected

- Fine planning of the activities for the pilot plant and for supporting functions within the *Pilot and Process Science* team following Celonic S&OP planning

- Collaboration and daily exchanges between different teams and functions such as Biologics Development Center departments or manufacturing facility

- Assessment, implementation and transfer of state-of-the-art technologies for the production of biologics Set up of goals for the team members based on the guidance from the management and on Celonic’s strategic objectives

- Ensure that good laboratory practices and HSE rules are observed within the pilot plant

- All other activities as requested by the Senior Director Characterization and Commercial Readiness

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- You have a master’s degree in biotechnology, bioprocess engineering or related field

- You have at least 5 years of experience in pilot or commercial production of biotechnological products

- Experience in Technology Transfers between sites

- Flexible, adaptive and a collaborative team player

- Ability to work independently and self-disciplined to meet the given timelines

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- You have demonstrated experience in leading and managing small to mid sized operational teams and being in charge of multiple projects.

- You have the ability to streamline operations and establish agile processes in a dynamic environment

- You are confident in the use of QbD, statistical tools

- Knowledge of cGMP is a plus

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- You are Fluent in English (Spoken and written). German is a plus
