Senior Forex Trader (m/f). Luxemburgo

The Forex Desk, part of the Investment Banking department of Bank Degroof Petercam, is the execution desk of our FX for the account of Institutional Clients (Insurance companies, Banks, Asset Managers …) & Private Banking.

We provide access nearly to every global securities market places with a strong focus on Benelux markets.

The Forex Trading Desk is a team of professionals who combine strong expertise in trading FX on various markets.

The key missions of the FX Trading Desk are:

- To handle and execute the FX orders coming from a wide range of clients and communication channels

- To act as ‘market expert' and idea generator partner embedded in the IB Strategy

- To manage the FX Position of the group

- To actively participate on report generation (such as key performance indicators, best execution monitoring)

Missions and responsibilities :

- You evaluate, control and monitor the risks and hedging linked to the book via spot, forward, OTC and listed derivatives

- You focus on getting the best pricing while sourcing the required liquidity

- You optimize the execution setup and guarantee best execution

- You maintain professional relationships with counterparties managing an existing international network

- You develop an in-depth knowledge of market structure evolution

- You share your expertise in front trading technology (Bloomberg, Eikon, Finastra Suite)

- You use and develop pre-trade/post trade analytics tools (Market Abuse, TCA…).

- You product business reports

Profile :

- You have a Master's degree in finance, economics, applied sciences or engineering. CFA is an asset

- You have at least 3 years of experience in Forex in a trading room

- You have a solid knowledge of forex products (spot, forward, swap, NDF). A background with IRS and FX option would be considered as an asset

- You have programming skills with VBA and Python

- You are familiar with the use of a trading platform such as fxgo or fxall

- You are known for your ability to easily interact with different kind of people

- You have a critical thinking mindset and you show a results driven attitude while being attentive to details

- You act as a team player and you are a quick learner

- You are fluent in French and English (both written and spoken); Dutch would be considered as a plus
