Then join Device Manufacturing Development as Mechanical Design Specialist for Product Maintenance.About the departmentYou will join a team of dedicated and highly competent colleagues and be at the crossroad between Device Research & Development (R&D) and production. The department supports the entire range of Novo Nordisk device products and the technical product knowledge is anchored here. The department is responsible for the device design of the marketed products and we own the specifications and documentation for the devices. You will be joining the Design Engineering team, which is covering various mechanical engineering disciplines. We support numerous projects with technical investigations and rationales for design changes. We perform the changes to specifications in cooperation with production and tool responsible and finally see the result implemented in the products.The positionAs Mechanical Design Specialist for Product Maintenance, your overall objective is to maintain the mechanical design of our products and secure technical robustness and manufacturability of the devices in order to meet product requirements to ensure that patients can rely on our products.While focusing on patient safety, quality and manufacturability, you will be driving changes to specifications for components and devices in our portfolio. In particular, you will lead review and assessments of component changes. You will perform investigations of faulty devices and components, assessing root causes and finally define and conduct the needed design changes.You can look forward to a position where your work has a high impact on the end products that reach the patient. The job also gives you a great opportunity for working with innovative medical devices on an international level and for having a broad range of contacts including production sites globally, R&D, Quality Assurance (QA), Regulatory Affairs, customer service and affiliates.QualificationsYour educational background is BSc or MSc in Engineering, preferably mechanics. Ideally you have 5-7 years of experience from product development or maintenance of medical devices in a similar job.You are experienced with CAD modelling and GPS tolerances. You are also experienced in tolerance stack-up analysis, and have knowledge of measurement technology. Furthermore you are highly skilled with MS Office and find it easy to master new IT systems.In order to succeed in this job the most important personal skills are:
