Scientist - Potency & Binding (R&D). Höfuðborgarsvæði

Overview of Role

We are looking for a motivated Scientist to join the Potency team within the Analytical Research and Development (ARD) department at Alvotech, Reykjavik. In this position, you will be a part of an agile team with the focus on analyzing samples, development and validation of analytical methods to measure the biological activity (potency and binding) of our products.

Scope & Responsibilities:

Analyze samples to support Drug Substance and Drug Product development.

Analyze samples for Potency and Binding assays to support the drug product development.

Take part in method development, qualification and validation for potency and binding methods.

Maintenance and propagation of cell culture required for cell-based assays.

Conducting Cell free binding assays independently.

Potency and binding assay data collection, interpretation and ensuring proper documentation of experimental data.

Qualifications and skills:

University degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

2+ years of experience with bioassays, including cell-free binding assays and biosimilar analysis (preferred).

Proficiency in ELISA and bioassay analysis software.

Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Self-motivated, adaptable, and positive attitude.

Quick learner, skilled in managing multiple tasks and mastering new techniques.

Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and record-keeping.

Strong organizational skills.
