For our Onshore – EMEA Engineering department we are looking for a Grid Engineer to join our team based In Brande DK.As a Grid Engineer/Specialist, you will be a main technical interface in relation to onshore projects during the sales and project execution, and you will be responsible for specific Grid integration and park control related engineering tasks during the execution phase.In this position, you can expect travel activities up to 30-40 days a year. This will be split between Customer meetings, site visits and internal meetings taking place in one of our office locations in Europe.What are my responsibilities?· Conducting Grid Code analysis· Developing/maintaining of Grid requirements test applications· Interfacing between markets and R&D/PLM, e.g. defining requirement specifications for Grid Code Compliance related development tasks· Being the main interface to Grid Operators and clients specialists· Supporting Park Control project· Grid Code Compliance field tests on onshore projects, including planning and reporting· Technical expertise and support to project and sales teams· Wind Power Plant control system design, configuration and operation· Power Quality Measurement Campaign and reportingWhat do I need to qualify for this job?· You have a strong technical background and minimum a Bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineering and automation.· Preferably this is combined with experience from the wind turbine business, grid developer/grid operator industries and/or SCADA/automation industries· You are self-driven, extrovert, analytical and able to create and maintain an overview of complex tasks.· You are good at networking and you possess excellent communication skills in English - both orally and in writing· You are motivated by working in a strong technical and customer oriented environmentIn case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.What else do I need to know?- As Grid test Engineer you will be a part of the SCADA department who is an crucial part of EMEA Engineering.- EMEA SCADA department consist of 4 teams and our grid test engineers is located in the solution engineering team (currently around 5 – 6 people) About Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy:With a worldwide installed capacity of 75 GW, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has a presence in more than 90 countries and a team of 27,000 employees worldwide.
