You will form an instrumental part of the store management team, with responsibility for ensuring that every customer receives sensational service. Coaching and developing the team to achieve goals and targets while supporting the company values. Your main focus will be managing the day to day activities of the sales team on the shop floor. You will also take on the responsibilities of the Assistant Manager in their absence. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintaining exceptional customer service levels and exceeding your targets through training and coaching the sales team and controlling the shop floor. 2. Acting as the first point of contact for the sales team, dealing with any performance or behaviour issues that may arise. 3. Driving store commerciality through effective sales floor management to influence sales results and customer engagement. 4. Maintaining legal and operational compliance, following the company procedures and working to best practise. 5. Ensuring the health and safety of our colleagues and customers is maintained at all times. 6. You will have responsibility as a key holder for the opening and closing of the store. Skills: • Customer focus: Demonstrate by prioritising customer service over tasks. • Exceptional customer service skills: Demonstrated by great feedback from customers and colleagues and positive sales results. • Ability to lead, engage and motivate a team: Demonstrate by great colleague morale and feedback. • Good commercial sense: An understanding of KPI’s and commercial initiatives demonstrated through positive sales performance. • Ability to work in a fast paced retail environment: Demonstrate by great performance and attention to detail at all times. • Good organisation skills when undertaking all store based activities. Education / Experience: • Experience of a fast paced customer environment is essential. • A track record of motivating and managing a successful team at some level is essential. • Ability to “translate” technical speak to match the varying level of customer expectation. • Intermediate level of Spreadsheet use & Word-processing is desirable.
