Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:

The interests of the Huntly group are in the mechanisms of transcriptional and epigenetic dysregulation that drive leukaemia and lymphoma, and how these programmes are subverted from their normal role in haematopoietic stem cells and their subsequent progeny (https://www.stemcells.cam.ac.uk/researcg/pis/huntly) We combine functional and genomic experiments in experimental model systems and patient samples to identify pathological mechanisms, therapeutic targets and novel therapies; testing these agents in pre-clinical studies (see Giotopoulos et al, J Exp Med 2015, Dawson et al Nature 2011 and Horton et al Nat Cell Biol 2017 for examples).

The Huntly group is imminently moving to a new state-of-the-art facility that will house the highly complementary WT-MRC funded Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (CSCI), the Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious disease (CITIID) and the Milner Therapeutic Institute and will be adjacent to the Cambridge CRUK Cambridge Institute.

Our group are highly productive and enjoy collaborations both within Cambridge and beyond.

We are seeking a post-doctoral Research Associate to complement our group and to determine epigenetic/chromatin/genetic alterations that occur during the evolution of lymphomagenesis and the target cell requirements for transformation, using our Crebbp deficient mouse model as a paradigm (Horton et al, Nat Cell Biol 2017), along with studies in human cell lines and patient samples.

The vacant post is at Research Associate (Post-Doc) level and a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is required.

Experience with genomic techniques such as ChIP-Seq, CRISPR-Cas9, with in vivo studies and experience in haematopoieis and/or lymphoma/cancer biology are highly desirable.

The post is funded by an MRC award.
