UE07 (£33,797 - £40,322) School of Biological Sciences Fixed-term for 9 months 35 hours per week The Opportunity: The post holder will manage the sourcing of MSc projects and support the student experience, with a particular focus on external relationships, particularly industry relationships, and other opportunities to provide high-quality student placements.

The post holder will develop and deliver a strategic and operational plan for activities that enhance taught student employability, with a focus on key corporate relationships (principally for industry-based research project placements).

Identify and develop specific student industry engagement opportunities.

The post-holder will line manage a small team: Recruitment Officer and the Student Experience Administrator who support recruitment, induction and community building activities.

The post-holder must have the ability to assimilate new information and learn new systems rapidly.

A good standard of English and an understanding of the higher education context are required.

The ability to work as a team member is essential.

Your skills and attributes for success: · Ability to discuss the scientific content of opportunities for student placements and research collaborations in an informed way, although specialist expertise in any particular area of the science will not be required. · Strong project management and relationship management skills, presentation and influencing skills – capable of presenting with authority to prospective students, faculty and School committees, and corporate clients · Professional, confident self-starter, able to think strategically, multi-task, plan ahead, set own priorities and deliver to deadlines · Tactful and diplomatic manner in dealing with clients and students · A good understanding of inclusion and cultural diversity in our recruitment activity.
