Main Responsibilities & Duties of the post include:
Coordinating, implementation and overseeing the programme activities and team by providing leadership to the programme staff team
Facilitating cross partnership working including participating as an active member of the Senior Management Team
Applying for and securing funding grants
Ensure that the funding provided by the funder is administered and controlled in accordance with their guidelines.
Providing written reports and statistics for funders and the Board of Management
Organising once off events, in conjunction with other staff
Overseeing budgets for all group activities
Promote the work of Doras Bui and communicate with participants/stakeholders/public e.g. through mail outs, website, content, social media, newsletter.
Recruit staff to the team where necessary utilising Doras Bui’s recruitment policies and procedures and plan and deliver induction programme for staff members.
Be part of working groups within Doras Bui’s structure to ensure the development of the organisation
Providing supervision, guidance and support to programme team and ensuring the work is delivered to the highest standards in line with Doras Bui’s strategic plan.
Conduct and lead support/supervision and annual performance reviews with staff
Ensure all staff adhere to Doras Bui’s policies and procedures.
Perform various household duties to ensure the smooth running of the organisation
Performing any other duties assigned from time to time by the CEO
Essential Requirements
Third level qualification in a relevant discipline or a minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership position
Experience of and ability to lead and or coordinate a staff team
Grant writing experience
Strong organisational skills, communication skills (written & oral)
Ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
An ability to initiate, develop and where necessary facilitate programmes
Ability to build and maintain relationships

Maintain an openness to feedback on one’s own performance and a commitment to implementation agreed performance/behavioural changes

Garda Clearance is Required.
