About the department Part of the success of Novo Nordisk is related to the strategic architecture of IT and automation solutions that support the high quality processes and manufacturing of our products that improve the lives of people living with chronical diseases. In the Devices & Supply Chain Management (D&S) IT department, we set strategic direction for IT in D&S and provide architectural guidance to projects and local business units both in Denmark and globally. This position will support our Local Manufacturing International Operations (IO) unit. That unit is responsible for establishing and operating production in local markets. Things move fast in our unit, and the daily project execution is dependent on cooperation with colleagues and external contract manufacturers all over the world. The position is based in Bagsværd, Denmark. The position To build and maintain strong IT and Automation solutions globally, you will be designing and implementing IT and automation solutions in close collaboration with project managers and external consultants at local manufacturing sites. If it turns out to be you, you will soon be in charge of setting over-all direction, creating a mutual understanding of project scope and execution and ensuring a smooth ramp-up process. You will be the first point of contact and expert when issues regarding implementation of IT and Automation processes arise, you will be securing timely progress, coordination and the relevant exchange of information and knowledge while making the decisions necessary to meet ambitious expectations. When designing the IT processes, you will align solutions with Novo Nordisk IT and Automation Standards while adjusting to local needs. Documentation from design through test till operations is key to the job. You will take lead in implementing elements within your scope which requires a lot of individual work but is supported by a team of external, internal consultants and local managers, IT managers and project managers. Many people will want to have their say in the decisions you make. You must be able to prioritise which of these have significant impact on your projects and sometimes, you will have to reject unwanted or unnecessary involvement. More often, though, you will need to engage a varied landscape of stakeholders, motivating and energising people to create convincing results while staying within tight safety and quality margins in every corner of the implementation. Travel is to be expected in this position as we are building production sites all over the world. Qualifications You probably hold an academic degree within IT, Automation, Engineering or related to IT and Automation in some other way. You have minimum two year of experience working with automation, systems implementation and automation projects. You have hands-on experience within one or more of the following areas in a production environment: IT infrastructure/networks, Virtualisation, SCADA/PLC, OPC, ISA.95, GAMP5, and CFR 21 part 11. Because of the complexity of a production setup like the one we have outlined, you will be fortunate to have understanding of or experience from the pharma industry or other strongly regulated industry.
