Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:
Are you passionate about the future of the green transition and eager to contribute to cutting-edge research that directly impacts how policymakers support sustainability? By joining DTU as a postdoc in the Green Transition Policy Centre (GreenTraC), you'll work at the forefront of evaluating green policies, developing innovative approaches and methods to assess their effectiveness. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with leading scholars and policymakers and generate novel insight into the role of policy in furthering the green transition.
Responsibilities and qualifications
The postdoc will join the “Green Transition Policy Centre” (GreenTraC), which is funded by the Carlsberg Foundation and led by Professor Teis Hansen from University of Copenhagen. Research in GreenTraC will be undertaken in close collaboration between researchers from the University of Copenhagen (KU), Aalborg University (AAU) and DTU.
GreenTraC (2024-2029) will investigate the role of policy in addressing the complexity and urgency of the green transition. Focus in the project is on identifying political, institutional and technological factors that influence the characteristics of green transition policy, as well as analysing the effects of policy on transition processes. GreenTraC brings together scholars from the fields of sustainability transitions, innovation studies, political science, applied data science and evaluation studies. It combines in-depth comparative case studies with data science techniques to understand the role of green transition policies, through empirical research on three selected sectors: agriculture and food production, energy-intensive industries and maritime transport.
The successful applicant will work closely with Associate Professor Maria Theresa Norn at DTU, who leads a work package on evaluation of green policy transitions. The aims of this work package are twofold: First, to identify and further develop suitable methods, indicators and evaluation criteria for assessing transition policy mixes. Second, to investigate which attributes of policy mixes promote transitions.
To this end, the work package will draw on methods for evaluation of transition policy and policy mixes. The project will also involve activities such as workshops and roundtables with policymakers and other societal stakeholders, as well as explore the development of data-driven methods for observing policy mixes’ impacts across key domains (i.e., science, technology, business). The postdoc will play a key role in designing and undertaking these activities.
The selected candidate will also be expected to contribute substantially to other work packages in GreenTraC. The position does not include teaching obligations.
As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).
Ideal candidates have expertise in qualitative methods, quantitative methods, green transition policy, policy analysis and/or policy evaluation.
