Plant Engineer - Workshop based position, up to £12.40 per hour DOE, overtime available at an additional rate, and NO weekend work. An exciting opportunity to work within a national company within the plant and tool hire industry. Duties of the Plant Engineer • You will be carrying out maintenance, repairs and servicing to a wide range of heavy plant machinery such as excavators, diggers and rollers. • You will carry out fault finding and inspections of the equipment, making sure it is ready to go back out for hire. • You will be required to liaise with the parts department along with ensuring all the compliance paperwork is completed accurately. You will have previous experience working as a plant engineer, fitter, technician, or mechanic within the plant hire or related industry. You will ideally hold an NVQ or City and Guilds in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering. You will have previous experience working on equipment such as JCB, diggers, excavators, CAT, Bomag, or dumpers including mechanical and electrical repairs. The Company You would be working for a national supplier to the construction and highways sector of heavy plant machinery. They are continuously growing and are seeking a plant engineer to add to their established and stable team. This expansion will assist with keeping up with company's high demands.
