Band 6 Major Trauma Rotational Physiotherapy Post –Royal London Hospital The Royal London Hospital is one of the most advanced Major Trauma Centres in Europe. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 physiotherapist or band 6 physiotherapist to work within the major trauma inpatient rotation. Inter-professional teams provide physiotherapy and occupational therapy to Trauma patients with serious and often multiple injuries at the Royal London Hospital. The role requires core experience, skills and knowledge in acute respiratory physiotherapy, neurosciences and musculoskeletal/orthopaedics. Experience in amputee rehab would also be advantageous. The successful candidate will work within a supportive inter-professional teaching environment and contribute to a 7 day working rota. The role will commence on critical care, and will provide exciting rotations through Major trauma, Trauma Orthopaedics and plastics, and neurosurgery. This is a permanent post and the successful candidate will work very closely with the Major Trauma MDT in order to provide a seamless pathway of care, so achieving the Trust’s objectives and better meeting patients needs. The ability to demonstrate learning, use initiative, deliver results, work flexibly and be adaptable is vital. Commitment, drive and enthusiasm are required to contribute to the development of the service, junior and assistant staff and students.
