Job Summary

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Chainge. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and diversification.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to optimize workflows and resource utilization.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and diversity.

Customer Focus:

  • Champion a customer-centric approach to service delivery, ensuring that customer needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, addressing their concerns and proactively identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the operations budget, allocating resources effectively to support strategic objectives and financial targets.
  • Implement cost-control measures and initiatives to optimize expenses and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance and variances, taking corrective actions as needed to ensure financial health.
  • Make data-driven recommendations for process enhancements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in a senior operations leadership role within the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive operational excellence, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and performance management.
