The Logistics Operations Associate is a system-focused role responsible for driving inventory accuracy, coordinating complex transport logistics, and analyzing operational performance. This role is crucial for process compliance, efficiency enhancement, and providing analytical support to the Logistics Operations Team Leader to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the Logistics Operations Associate include, but are not limited to, the following functions:

Inventory Management & Systems Control

Oversee inventory accuracy through system-based audits and reporting using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests to maintain optimal inventory accuracy.

Analyse inventory variances and recommend corrective actions to management.

. Order & Transport Coordination

Coordinate daily order fulfilment and dispatch activities, ensuring on-time delivery to customers and distribution partners.

Liaise with transport providers to plan delivery routes, optimize vehicle utilisation, and resolve shipment delays.

Generate and verify shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with client and customs requirements.

Process & Performance Analysis

Track and analyze key logistics performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and turnaround times.

Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management review, highlighting operational trends and improvement opportunities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness in logistics operations.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure all logistics operations comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Irish Health & Safety regulations.

Participate in internal audits and support corrective actions related to stock control and transport operations.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with the Logistics Operations Team Leader to coordinate workload, allocate resources, and ensure smooth daily operations.

Provide system and process support to warehouse and transport staff to ensure adherence to best practices.

Requirements

Experience: Previous experience (1-2 years preferred) working within a fast-paced logistics, warehouse, or supply chain environment. Experience in an analytical or system control role is highly desirable.

Technical Skills: Strong familiarity and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis and reporting).

Personal Attributes: Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and analytical skills, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

Legal: Must have the legal right to work in Ireland and the ability to pass relevant background checks for airside operations (if applicable).
