Salary competitive We’re looking for an exceptional Lead User Researcher join our modern Regent’s Park based office to lead and shape our User Research function.

What will you deliver This is a unique opportunity to join us in a newly created role and help us shape our User Research function.

Leading a team of one plus contractors, and taking ownership for the end to end User Research process you’ll be an advocate for your profession and help us progress our user centred approach at Which? In doing so, you’ll ensure that people understand the value of User Research by demonstrating the value of involving users in the formative stages and throughout Product design and development .

You will also: Execute a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including remote and in-person usability testing, top task analysis, card sorting, co-creation and ethnography Uncover new ways to improve processes, communication, quality and efficiency in relation to user research work Embed User Researchers effectively into product teams and shape our approach to User Research from product discovery through to design and development.

Engage external third-party agencies in research efforts working with both our Procurement and Legal teams to get agreements in place, Facilitate creative sessions to embed insights into teams, working closely with UX Designers, Analysts and Audience Researchers to bring insights to life.To enable you to do all this we’ll equip you with the tools you need, including User Testing.com, Loop11 and Optimal Workshop, and also by giving you access to purpose built labs that are fully equipped with the latest technologies to help us get as close to the customer as possible.

There are excellent benefits including 28 days annual leave, private healthcare, and excellent pension scheme (and the usuals Cycle to Work, season ticket loan scheme etc.) We even have access to a private section of Regent’s park which is handy for hot summers and team building events What are we looking for We’re looking for a driven individual that cares deeply about User Research and has proven ability to inspire the product team and influence the wider business with user insights You’ll take a creative approach to your work, enjoy experimenting and trialing new approaches and will be able to demonstrate where you have done this previously.

You’ll bring the outside in, be curious, but also be able to quickly determine what is workable for Which? You’ll be able to strike the right balance between delivering rigourous insights and enabling the team to take action quickly, which means you’ll need to have outstanding knowledge of research best practice and heuristics whilst being flexible and pragmatic in your approach.

You may already be a Lead Researcher, or a Senior User Researcher with mentoring experience looking for your next step.

Regardless, you’ll be comfortable leading and motivating a team and driving forward the User Research practice.

You will also be adept at working with stakeholders to understand their needs and will be able to draw upon your excellent engagement skills to bring them along the journey to support truly user centred solutions that deliver demonstrable value.

In addition you must have: Proven ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative User Research methodologies A solid understanding of data analytics, and quantitative testing methods such as A/B and MVT testing Recognized qualification in HCI Experience using modern tools including usertesting.com At Which? we value diversity and we're committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone is able to be themselves and to reach their full potential.
