Manpower Planning is an essential part of the Manufacturing Business Office, responsible for identifying all manpower requirements across Jaguar Land Rover vehicle assembly plants and providing detailed hourly and salaried headcount analysis; which is used to identify and support current budget and future plans.
In your role as the Lead Business Analyst, you'll cover activities at all UK sites within Jaguar Land Rover.
Predominately the focus will be leading Jaguar Land Rover Harbour data collation, submission and analysis; leading analysis and implementing tools which simplify, improve and hasten the completion of routine activities.
You'll provide analytical support to the department, function and company with respect to benchmarking and target setting for Manpower Planning main metrics of Basic Minute Value (BMV), Hours Per Car (HPC), Hours Per Unit (HPU), and Labour efficiency, as well as look for continual improvement opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED Essential for this role is the ability to negotiate between conflicting business interests, exploring different options and the confidence to challenge existing work practices in a positive way, along with the aptitude to successfully implement lean principals.
You'll need to have great communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels and build good working relationships.
Resilient and enthusiastic, you'll be comfortable delivering results under pressure, whilst responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.
You'll have a history in business analysis and preferably experience of manpower planning and manufacturing.
As an advanced user of Microsoft Office Package, particularly with Excel and VBA, you'll be able to gather and manipulate data, and with your strong analytical ability and great numerical skills, you'll have the capability to present back complex information to various stakeholders.
And you'll have an advantage if you can demonstrate knowledge of production tools and metrics, a working knowledge of MOST and the appropriate IT systems, previous experience of Global Study Process Allocation System (GSPAS) and APT.
Additionally it's essential that you are self-motivated, confident, a self-learner and invest in self-improvement.
You'll also need flexibility in both working location (all Jaguar Land Rover sites) and in time.
