Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:

Looking for a place that unites your passion for technology, climate and positive change in society? Are you experienced in mobilizing people; crafting engaging narratives; building strong brands; and creating action, excitement and collaboration around your activities? Then we are your people - and perhaps new colleagues.

The new program DTU Earthbound - located at the university’s innovation hub DTU Skylab - is looking for an experienced communications professional with solid skills in strategy development; conceptualizing of creative concepts, participatory formats, digital campaigns; curation and content; brand building and management.

In this role, you will oversee and execute our communications and mobilization efforts. You will support a team of four people, including our Impact Lead, Event Lead, Communications Assistant and Event Assistant.

Who are we?

DTU Earthbound is a climate tech catalyst designed to mobilize, nurture and mature climate-relevant deep tech science across DTU’s academic ecosystem and hatch early-stage startups.

DTU Earthbound is embedded at DTU Skylab; the innovation hub of DTU with a vibrant community supporting diverse activities such as curricular courses, company collaborations, and start-up support programmes. In the 10 years that DTU Skylab has existed, it has become a dynamic innovation hub with 5000+ m2 of offices, teaching facilities, workshops, and laboratories.

The DTU Earthbound program is a tight-knit team of eight employees that work with both scientists and students at DTU to ensure that more research, ideas and action on campus are targeted at the climate challenges we are facing. Over the next couple of years, Earthbound is on a mission to mobilize and support new climate startups and see them spin out of the university into life as a company. To find these cases, we do extensive mobilization work around DTU’s many departments, initiatives and students. This is where you and your team come in. Launched in November 2023, this new initiative is made possible by DTU; its innovation unit DTU Skylab and the early-stage venture house, PreSeed Ventures.

What you will do

Your work portfolio falls into three areas:

Communications:

  • Strategy and concept development for Earthbound's digital communication to target groups
  • Collaborations with DTU ecosystem: DTU Earthbound is part of a vibrant and resourceful ecosystem that we collaborate with.
  • Partnerships with external stakeholders of relevance to our communication (agencies, consultants etc.).
  • Day-to-day operations of Earthbound digital communication together with our Communications Assistant (social media, newsletter, website maintenance, general outreach etc).
  • Digital campaigns to engage our key target groups and promote our offerings.
  • Brand maintenance: Make sure our communications portfolio is up to date with slide decks, storytelling, new branding material etc.

Mobilization:

  • Mobilization strategy and concept development for how to reach our primary target groups (students, researchers and entrepreneurs). This task is carried out in close collaboration with the rest of the management team.
  • Planning and coordination of mobilization activities with Earthbound Event Lead and Event Student.
  • Content, curation and program development and planning around our signature events.
  • Hands-on execution of events with the rest of the team.

The role in general:

  • Be a valuable and contributing part of DTU Skylab and DTU Earthbound team
  • Support your colleagues in the mobilization team
  • Operational in organizational strategy: Yearly planning, concept development, strategy development, budget support, etc.

Who you are

You are an experienced communications professional with strong skills and knowledge within either technology, entrepreneurship or climate. If you can cross all three: Great! If not: Let us know why this is your new career path.

  • have solid experience in driving mobilizing campaigns online and offline.
  • know how to create engaging events with creative formats, and can inspire your team to deliver on this.
  • experienced in stakeholder relations and knows how to design, negotiate, inform and drive partnerships - and fill them with smiles and good energy.
  • experience with management and got clear ideas and a framework for how best to support your team and make them grow in their roles.
  • keen to contribute your good ideas, experiences, and laughs to the partner group and the ongoing work on strategy and development of Earthbound.
