**Kitchen Hand**

**EmMoi Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine, Matinkylä, Espoo**

EmMoi Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine is looking for a reliable and hardworking **Kitchen Hand** to join our kitchen team in Matinkylä, Espoo.

We are looking for someone who is not only comfortable with general kitchen duties, but also has **basic cooking and food preparation skills and a good understanding of Vietnamese cuisine.**

**Main responsibilities**

- Washing dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment

- Keeping the kitchen, working areas and storage areas clean and organised

- Assisting with daily food preparation

- Washing, peeling, cutting and preparing vegetables, herbs, meat and other ingredients

- Preparing ingredients according to the kitchens recipes and instructions

- Supporting cooks with simple cooking and food preparation tasks

- Portioning, organising and storing prepared ingredients

- Receiving and storing ingredients and supplies when needed

- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods

- Following food hygiene, food safety and workplace safety procedures

- Other general kitchen support duties when required

**What we are looking for**

The right person should have:

- **Good knowledge and understanding of Vietnamese cuisine**, including common Vietnamese ingredients, herbs, sauces, flavours and food preparation methods

- Familiarity with Vietnamese food culture and traditional Vietnamese dishes

- **Basic cooking skills** and confidence working in a professional kitchen

- **Basic knife skills**, including safe and efficient cutting, slicing, chopping and preparation of ingredients

- Ability to follow recipes, preparation instructions and portion guidelines

- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety

- Ability to work efficiently and stay organised in a busy restaurant environment

- Reliability, responsibility and punctuality

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn EmMois recipes and working methods

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required

Previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen, particularly with **Vietnamese or Asian cuisine**, is highly valued.

A valid **Hygiene Passport is a requirement.**

**Position:** Kitchen Hand. **Workplace:** EmMoi Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine, Matinkylä, Espoo **Employment type:** Part-time **Working hours:** To be agreed based on the restaurants needs and the employees availability **Starting date:** As soon as possible **Salary:** According to the Collective Agreement for the Hospitality Industry (MaRa/PAM TES), based on the applicable pay group and the employees relevant previous work experience.
