Sidley Austin’s International Arbitration Group is looking for an Associate for its Geneva office team.
Candidate Requirements: The successful candidate should have one to three years’ experience as a qualified lawyer specializing in International Arbitration and/or Litigation at a top-tier national, international or US law firm.
The ideal candidate must display technical excellence, with an appetite for the further development of legal knowledge and skills.
The candidate must also work well in a team environment and be willing and able to take on substantial responsibilities on cases.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with respect to the major stages of international arbitration proceedings, including in particular drafting briefs and witness statements, but also with respect to fact investigation, disclosure and at hearings.
Experience in cross-border litigation, service of process abroad, injunction proceedings and enforcement proceedings are also a plus.
Candidates should possess native or equivalent-to-native level English-language skills, and proven, excellent writing abilities are essential.
Candidates will be asked to provide two writing samples upon applying.
Proficiency in other languages is also desirable.
Candidates should above all have sound arbitration knowledge, exceptional analytical skills, and outstanding academic qualifications from leading institutions.
