What's involved with this role: Interim Analyst - PSR 1JP00029598 Pay Rate: Up to £800 per day pay range subject to IR35 status This role is part of a small but influential team supporting high profile work of critical importance within the CGB.
It provides exciting opportunities for those wishing to work in a flexible, dynamic, fast paced environment.
The group is responsible for coordinating and assuring delivery of the cross-Government border-related changes in light of our departure from the EU and to ensure strong, joined up planning for the border in the medium and long term.
The analytical capability will also enable understanding of risks over a longer timeframe, which will support more strategic assessments of issues affecting borders so that all departments can support the delivery of a world class border function.
Key areas of delivery Deliver comprehensive analysis of flow at the GB borders Support BPDG and cross-government strategic, policy and operational decision making at/for the border Support existing tactical structures and decision making that drive border operations Use available data tools to drive analysis and reporting Be accountable to senior management Please note: The role will operate via a shift pattern.
Key responsibilities You will operate as a team who will have distinct areas of focus on delivering regular, high quality analysis.
The team will be supported by a network of departmental liaison officers representing the key departments with interest in borders and supply chain issues You will: Report to leadership on the current status as well as any issues at the border Hold responsibility for the daily view to lead the analysis teams and direct activity Sign off reports which show impact across locations and UK as a whole Validate reports with various government departments Prioritise incidents at the border by risk/severity Access the workflow of the entire team Key Skills/Experience Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise information as part of crisis management to support decision making at the highest level in government Capability to lead and work as part of a team, at pace in crisis management scenario Collaboration and partnering across grades and across government work groups Ability to forge strong working relationships with excellent communication skills and collaborative approach Working flexibly and under pressure Please quote the Job Title & Vacancy Reference No. in your application, or we will be unable to match your CV to the role being applied for. “Essential Requirements” – Please check to ensure that your CV addresses the following items: Our clients are generally seeking applicants who are reasonably local, so on that basis we would ideally like you to supply us with your address (or at least your post code) and a telephone number so that we can reach you during working hours.
