We are seeking to recruit few experienced nursing professionals as a Health Care Assistant to work full time at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home Rooskey Limited for 39 hours weekly and 30000 euros annual salary to commence from 05/02/2026.

Our team is encouraged to provide feedback and reflect on practice so that continuous improvements are made to the care of our residents. The management works closely with staff to ensure the highest standards of personal and nursing care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents.

Ensuring resident's hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident’s dignity at all times.

Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs.

Assisting residents with mobilising as appropriate and using correct aids.

Escorting or/and transferring residents as directed by the Nursing staff.

Assisting in End-of-Life Care.

Be flexible and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to successfully work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

Ability to work with other employees in order to achieve various goals.

Understanding of GDPR, medical confidentiality laws and practices.

Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.

Candidates should be:

Currently trained to Level 5 FETAC / QQI or working toward obtaining same, or willing to undertake such a training course.

Demonstrable clinical and professional ability, communication and organisational skills.

Eligible to work in Ireland.
