Healthcare Assistant – Knockeen Nursing Home, Barntown, Co. Wexford

Salary: €30,000 per annum

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support residents in all aspects of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with personal care needs, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities.

Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Maintain accurate care records and contribute to care planning.

Foster a positive, respectful, and homely environment for residents.

Adhere to all health and safety and infection prevention protocols.

Requirements:

QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support (or equivalent).

Previous experience working in a healthcare setting — experience in care of older persons preferred.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for caring and making a difference in residents’ lives.
