Healthcare Assistant. West. Irlanda

A vacancy has arisen at Casieal Geal Teoranta for a Healthcare Assistant to work in a modern purpose-built nursing home in Castlegar, County Galway.

The Ideal candidate should have the following:

-    Experience in care of the older person is essential

-    Applicants must have conversational English

-    Must be organised, hardworking and have experience working in a nursing home setting.

The main purpose of the role is:

-    To deliver high quality care and assistance to our clients as per their Care Plan – assistance with meals, personal care, moving & transferring and activities of daily living.

-    To promote a caring environment for our residents through a person-centered approach, this includes the resident’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs. This will be achieved by working as part of a team of Health Care assistant, Nurses and Activity coordinators.

-    Gross annual pay is €27,000 for 39 hour working hours per week. This is €13.31 per hour worked (please note breaks are unpaid).

-    Usual hours of work will be three shifts from 8am to 8pm (with one hour for breaks) and one shift from 8am to 2pm per week.  Some night shifts from 8pm to 8am will also be required.
