Job Purpose - The Global Sales Training Specialist’s primary responsibilities include: • Analysing training needs/skills gaps • Defining training programmes to meet those needs, creating content where required • Delivering new and existing training programmes to close identified gaps • Monitoring deliveries for adoption and behavioural change This activity is aligned to the company’s PEOPLE objectives to become the most admired, inclusive and diverse employer in Fintech and act and perform as one Finastra.

The role holder will be actively involved in specified Sales initiatives for the financial year, for FY20, this ranges from ensuring our leaders and managers are upskilled to perform at their best, creating a training plan for a true digital sales team, implementing a globally consistent Strategic Account Methodology, to enabling the whole sales team to tell the Finastra story and ensuring the sales team have the knowledge and skills to follow our defined sales methodologies and processes.

As such, this role covers both the Enterprise and Community Markets side of our business.

Key Responsibilities (Key accountabilities of the job) – • Documenting knowledge and behavioural skills gaps within the existing teams – leveraging the Competencies from the People Team and, in conjunction with Global Head of Sales Training, ensuring appropriate training programs are defined, scoped and delivered • Communicate with key stakeholders in order to support informed business decisions by providing in-depth analysis and recommendations at a regional level • Being the SME of the Sales Methodology and Process, delivering training on the same and ensuring the process evolves as business needs change • Supporting delivery of Sales Boot Camps and Sales Insights (remote training sessions) as required • Scoping regional training, prioritising needs against available budget, defining solutions to deliver • Other ad-hoc training requests as the need arises and to suit the skill set of the role holder Skills, Knowledge & Experience - • Min 5 years’ experience in an Inside Sales role, including management responsibilities, preferably in the software space working within the Banking industry • Demonstrable experience in developing new talent • Solid understanding of sales processes and value-based sales methodologies (Solution Selling and The Challenger Sale advantageous) • Demonstrable experience delivering training on soft skills such as presentation skills, cold calling, objection handling, meeting preparation, time management • Knowledge of Finastra solutions advantageous • Experience from a telesales/digital sales environment a benefitStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information across all levels in both the functional and global organization Qualifications & certification - • Diploma/Degree-level qualification • Maths and English to G.C.S.E (or equivalent) • Competent knowledge of MS Office 365 • Knowledge of on-line learning and web-based applications an advantage (LMS, Sales Training App, Linked In Learning, West webinars) • Sound working knowledge of Salesforce.com including report writing Salary: • Competitive Finastra was formed in 2017 by the combination of Misys and DH, we provide the broadest portfolio of financial services software in the world today—spanning retail banking, transaction banking, lending, and treasury and capital markets.
