We are the largest privately-held pub operator in the UK and we’re looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team at Stonegate. Yates Southampton is a lively food & drink operation in the heart of Southampton city centre. It is a popular site with students, diners, locals and sport fans. An excellent opportunity presents itself for a passionate individual with bags of energy and ability to re-establish the venue as a major player in the city centre. Southampton Yates is situated on the high street and operates a 2 floor operation, with Sky + BT Sports throughout the venue. The venue is popular with local drinkers, diners and party goers, with DJ led entertainment 3 nights per week. The site benefits from a strong sports following and is an official away supporter’s bar. It is trading on average between £24K – £26K with a wet / dry spilt of 75/25% wet led. We are looking for a General Manager to take this business forward with a drive and passion for delivering great customer service and a strong understanding of sports and late night trading. We are seeking an experienced, strong manager, who has the ability to deliver the ‘All Day Long’ Yates chameleon proposition. Outstanding standards and attention to detail will be crucial to success in the role, along with a focus on quality food, drink and a naturally great service. You will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
