Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:
Fitter Welder We currently have a requirement for a fitter / welder, the job is full time forty hours a week (this could be increased dependant on work load). Duties • Perform structural welding and fabrication in workshop or onsite • Perform installation of fabricated machines and structures. • MIG and SMAW welding process all positions • Ability to produce structures from design concept through to installation • Produce simple drawings for sub contractors if required • Troubleshoot and identify mechanical problems on overhead cranes and hoists • Perform mechanical repairs on overhead head cranes and hoists • Build overhead cranes from imported kits and drawings • Inspection of various lifting equipment (knowledge preferable but we can train) • Work closely with company manager to keep track of material orders and job costs • Willing to train helper • Perform load testing (training given) Experience • Preferably time served fitter welder with technical school completion • Experience with overhead crane and runway installation preferable • You must be detail orientated with quality workmanship • Ability to drive machines such as MEWP and forklifts • Ability to fill out and present method statements and risk assessments for jobs Requirements • Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license. • Membership of trade union required, safe pass, manual handling, MEWP. • Must be willing and able to work off the ground at heights. • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills • Must be capable of tracking time spent on jobs and filling out job sheets and detailed work reports • Must be able to work varied overtime, as required by customer and company • Must be able to travel and work away from our office location. • Ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision • Ability to perform a supervisory role when performing installations onsite • Ability to produce and read drawings and blue prints • Working knowledge of computers and programs such as word, excel and outlook preferable but we are willing to train.
