About the role

The Finance team is located in our state-of-the-art Head office in Venlo, close to the German border in the Netherlands. In this role you will be part of the team responsible for processing incoming and outgoing payments, next to handling daily transaction processes you will be responsible for focussing on automation and continuous improvement projects to enable payments scalability and efficiency, using full knowledge and understanding of the accounting software.

What you will do

- Handling daily transaction processes, ensuring seamless payment processing, recording, and reconciliation.

- Implementing control procedures to mitigate financial risks, identify payout and clearing issues, and proactively address discrepancies.

- Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of payment processes, policies, and procedures.

- Overseeing month-end reconciliation activities and providing support for audits as required.

- Utilizing data analysis to detect discrepancies and trends, taking corrective actions when needed, and driving resolutions that require cross-team coordination.

- Executing key projects within your field of expertise, supporting the implementation of new products and geographical expansions for business growth.

Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.

About you

The role requires a deep understanding of payments operations including but not limited to accounting, clearing and operational risk management. To be successful in this role, you enjoy working in a fast-paced and demanding environment and you should have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance

- Relevant experience in Accounting, preferably in an international environment

- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands

- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills

- Good proficiency in English and German, Dutch would be an advantage ​
