Financial Accounting Manager We are looking for a full-time Financial Accounting Manager for our offices in London (UK) 16 Pepper St, Poplar, London E14 9RP. The Financial Accounting Manager will provide efficient and effective financial accounting services for the UK and Group entities. Responsibilities will include day to day transactional accounting, financial reporting, statutory accounting and ensure the business has best practice financial accounting & reporting policies and procedures. Qualifications, Experience & Software Knowledge Required · Diploma/Degree in Accounting / Finance preferable · Financial experience in a similar role with international exposure essential as the role covers various international entities within the Group · Industry experience essential within the Telecommunications sector · Strong computer literacy (MS Office), advanced MS Excel required · Knowledge and Experience with Accounting Software Packages · Required to have Advanced experience with Sage Evolution Software for management reporting and updating · Advanced experience with Pastel Payroll essential · Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles · Ability to multi-task and consistently meet timeous deadlines · Excellent problem solving, analytical, technical and numerical abilities · Strong Decision making, Interpersonal, Communication and presentation skills · Excellent organizational skills and highly motivated, with a “can-do” attitude · Should be able to work independently and be a team player Essential Key Responsibilities and Attributes · Cash flow Management and reporting to Group Directors · Preparation of monthly management accounts for UK, and consolidated accounts for the Group · Preparation of Financial Year End accounts for handover to Auditors, including liaising with various Auditors · Preparation and maintenance of all balance sheet reconciliations, including all monthly journals and processing · Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register · Bank reconciliations incl. multi-currency accounts · Management of Budgets vs Actuals · Ensure that customers adhere to credit terms granted and proper processes are followed if customers default · Migration and management of Payroll Function on Pastel Payroll in line with other group entities · Reviewing and maintenance of the full payroll function ensuring accurate payroll records · Preparation and submission of various statutory returns, monthly, quarterly and annually (HMRC, ATO, SARS, MRA) · Management of junior Finance and Administrative staff, and perform accounting duties in accordance with Group policy and procedures · Utilising various sources to assess customer risk profiles by conducting credit reference checks in order to ensure credit limits set alleviate substantial financial loss
