Description

Haldor Topsoe is a global market leader in development and production of catalysts and related technologies.

The company has taken the major decision to onboard a financial partner (minority owner) which will increase our investment potential in relation to both organic and inorganic investment initiatives. Financial Business Partnering Department (FBP) is a pivotal department in this journey, driving and supporting the analysis of the different business opportunities within our existing business areas as well as into new areas.

FBP is reporting directly to the head of Corporate Finance and aims to strengthen the efforts around increasing data transparency and thereby securing data-driven decisions. Further, the department support and facilitate daily business optimization, cash management and economic forecasting.

You will be responsible for continuing and enhancing the business partner role in one of our business units. You will support and advise the business unit management and product line directors in decision making on how to optimize profit going forward and challenge assumptions going into our financial forecast.

You will work from our headquarters in Lyngby in close collaboration with colleagues in Denmark and at our global locations. Not only will you get deep insights into – and a thorough understanding of – our global organization, you will also build a strong network and be able to influence and set the direction for how and where we make our decisions.

Your responsibilities

  • Be the focal point between business unit management and resource unit’s / support unit’s
  • Explain historical performance including break down per product, geography and customer
  • Know the cost price, sales price and gross margin for individual products
  • Monthly follow-up on global accounts receivables and inventory in dialog with business unit management
  • Quarterly Rolling Forecast estimate and help improve forecast precision by challenging assumptions
  • Annual 5-year forecast
  • Perform “deep dives” in connection with optimizing the business
  • Financial support to strategic, corporate projects.

Qualifications

Financial background e.g. Cand. Merc, Cand. Oecon, Graduate diploma in accounting or other commercial background.

At least 5 years’ relevant experience from a similar position in an international company. In addition, it is important that you are an experienced user on SAP and Microsoft Excel and that you are fluent in English, written as well as spoken.
