About the department

You will join a dedicated and highly competent team of 17 people in Device Manufacturing Development and be at the crossroad between Device R&D, Production and our equipment suppliers. Our missions are to support implementation of new production capacity around the world as well as development of next generation assembly and packaging lines.

The position

As our new colleague, you will be responsible for and contributing to the development and installation projects for assembly and packaging lines for medical devices. Because of the nature of the product, everything we do must adhere to a well-defined set of regulations and quality standards. New processes and equipment must be qualified and validated to ensure they are in compliance with these standards. Thus, you will be defining validation strategies for the new setup and ensure that materials, processes and equipment can perform at the desired level of quality and capacity. Mapping out the risk landscape of the processes will be crucial to the timely preparation of risk management systems and quality control measures which you will also be in charge of.

Your manufacturing process experience allows you to work on early product development projects while your knowledge and experience of validation will be used to qualify the manufacturing processes. Moreover your technical competences will contribute setting and implementing the process and maintenance strategy for the production equipment. You will be responsible of achieving results as well as coordinating specific technical tasks at the production sites.

This position offers a high level of collaboration across the organisation. On early project phases, you will interface with R&D and be representing the voice of the process on behalf of production. During validation activities you will interact with IT/Automation technical and process experts as well as Quality Assurance (QA). Other customised type of interaction would be expected on additional specific tasks and responsibilities assigned to our department.

A limited travelling activities abroad is expected (<30 days/year).

You have a MSc degree in process engineering or mechatronics and can demonstrate about 5 years of successful professional experience. Ideally you have expertise in validation and a strong process and technical experience from fully automated production. You are able to produce quality documentation in due time, develop and implement training and set validation, process and maintenance strategy and coordinate its implementation at the production site.

Success in this job calls for structured person balancing theory with a pragmatic approach. You can adapt your job from highly technical tasks to strategic thinking. You are keen to collaborated and communicate in a constructive manner with the various stakeholders. Lastly, you have a strong personal drive enabling you to persistently pursue your goals and achieve results.
