Job Description for Junior Field Service Technician:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic Junior Field Service Technician that wants to forge an IT career with no upper limit. This position is an opportunity for someone to grow and develop their IT skills in an environment that values, and rewards with continuous learning. A Junior Field Service Technician will perform a variety of entry level engineering activities, including onboarding, installing, maintaining, and supporting computer communications within organizations. Your goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for users. The ideal candidate will have good technical skills & excellent customer communication skills have lots of drive and energy and an eagerness to learn.  Knowledge and experience of a similar field service technician role in a comparative environment would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution.

This is a full-time position for the right candidate and requires flexibility and rostered weekend work.

Responsibilities:

•    Deploying equipment and onboarding pre-configured devices example:  phones, laptops and tablets that are pre enrolled on Intune.

•    Installation, configuration and support of desktops and laptops in a networked environment

•    Documentation is key to the role it will require daily updates on the progress of the project and ticketing system will need to be updated daily as per best practise.

•    Analysing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password

•    Ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards.

•    Ensure the highest level of Customer Service and professionalism is always provided to the customers.

•    Mentoring other Engineers. Lead by example, actively promote, and foster a culture where learning and customer service are of the highest priority.

•    Building and managing a proactive, positive, and effective relationship with the clients.

•    Provide support to customers on any software or hardware issues that they may have. This support may be carried out onsite or remotely as appropriate and may include:

•    Travel on site to customers for installs and repairs when required.

•    Hardware repairs + swap-outs on client’s sites

•    Continue to learn new technologies / self-educate and highlight where training is required.

Job Details:

•    Job Location: On customer sites covering all counties in Ireland.

•    Start date: Immediately.  

•    Career level: 2 years plus experience

•    Annual leave: 20 days per annum

•    Salary: to be confirmed based on experience

•    Equipment: Phone and laptop provided

•    Normal working hours: 8.45am-5.30pm Monday-Friday (plus Overtime / Out of Hours and weekend work on a Rota basis)

Essential Qualifications, :

•    Full clean driving License:  Full: B  

•    Comptia +

•      English C2-Master (Fluent)
