Data Engineer, Energy, UPM-Kymmene Oyj, Helsinki. Helsinki-Uusimaa

We are now looking for a Data Engineer to join our Digital Solutions team at UPM Energy until January. This position is located either in Helsinki or Tampere, Finland.

What you will do

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and building data architecture, data modelling and data-driven support for stakeholders in our Energy business area. Working in a small team, you are also responsible for the management and provision of energy market data, as well as the standardization and documentation of the data.

Your goal is to work as part of our Digital Solutions team, facilitating implementation of Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics use cases.

Your main tasks are

Develop, maintain, optimize, and document dbt models (Python and SQL).

Develop and maintain Snowflake data pipelines and transformations.

Write and optimize Python scripts for data ingestion and processing

Pre-process data for ML applications using Databricks, including:

MLflow for model tracking and deployment

Databricks workflows for orchestration and scheduling

Who you are

You have studied Information Systems, or another applicable domain

You have hands-on experience from some of the following technologies, dbt, Databricks, Snowflake, Git, Azure, Terraform

You communicate fluently in either English or Finnish
