Primary Role: • The Contracted Training Officer is a key member of the Contracted Training team with specific responsibility for ensuring the smooth set up and administration of Contracted Training Courses both in the Training Centre and off site. The role involves overseeing and ensuring that Learners encounter a successful Training experience and that all courses are run in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have the ability to set up and implement administration systems where necessary. Duties /Areas of Responsibility: ▪ Assist in the co-ordination of all activities within Contracted Training. ▪ Prepare planning and appropriate documentation for approval. ▪ Liaise with relevant stakeholders to finalise training interventions. ▪ Liaise with recruitment to schedule course information sessions, recruitment activity and screening activities. ▪ Attend/facilitate course information sessions as required. ▪ Attend openings of training provision to ensure all learners are registered. ▪ Carry out monitoring visits on Contracted Training courses to ensure adherence to procedures and recommend corrective actions where appropriate. ▪ Ensure learners are trained to the required standards. ▪ Maintain accurate records for all Contracted Training courses. ▪ Monitor invoicing and payroll accounts to ensure that all entries are verified and recorded accurately. ▪ Operate in–house systems to ensure approval and payments are processed correctly. ▪ Process and monitor recruitment, retention, certification, progression and placement opportunities for learners in line with agreed budgets. ▪ Liaise with the various stakeholders to ensure that course provision is in line with direct requirements and FET strategy. ▪ Undertake any other duties as required by the manager. All the above duties and responsibilities to be carried out in consultation and with the approval of the manager, in a flexible manner and a spirit of teamwork with the other staff in the unit. Person Specification/Profile Experience and Qualifications: • A work history which demonstrates that the candidate displays initiative, innovation and ability to accept change and new challenges. • A flexible approach with ability to work independently or in a team. • Demonstrate an understanding of the linkages between strategy and business plans with operational goals and targets. • A Diploma in Education and Training or similar award would be desirable but not essential • Relevant experience within a Training/Education environment is desirable. • Other requirements include being a car owner with full driving licence and a flexible approach to working outside normal hours may be required from time to time.
