The Unique Opportunity On the basis of continued company success and expansion plans, the Mobility (Automotive & Transportation) Business Unit is seeking to appoint a Consultant – Commercial Vehicles to shape the next stage of growth within this well established practice area. The Consultant is principally responsible for the execution of consulting projects, develop/ maintain client relationships throughout the delivery of cutting edge analysis and build business development opportunities as need be. The successful candidate will specifically focus on the commercial vehicle sector which includes trucks, buses, and off-highway vehicles such as construction & agriculture equipment. The breadth of topics that the consultant will be required to work on includes electric trucks, autonomous trucks/ bus/ vehicles, digital freight management, connected trucks and associated new business models, disruptions in logistics, and analysis of start-ups in the commercial vehicle industry. In addition, projects might involve expertise in traditional areas such as engine & powertrain, safety and chassis technologies, distribution and dealership, and aftermarket. The functional breadth of projects includes topics such as identification and prioritization of strategic options (long- and short-term opportunities), analysis of market entry options, post-merger integration, transformation strategy and other related topics. Whilst the position has a broad range of responsibilities, an overview of main skills is outlined below; * Develop business analysis based on all available sources of information * Create/ develop business models, market scenarios and forecasts relevant to respective projects * Deliver high-quality analysis related to evolving technology and business trends in the commercial vehicle industry, mostly in response to specific client requests * Identify relevant strategies for clients based on insights, work with client resources (including C-level executives when need be) * Develop fact-based recommendations and priorities for actionable strategies to be implemented by the client * Write compelling, high impact proposals and project deliverables, as need be * Active involvement in business development locally along with sales team, as needed Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: Essential: * Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree * Proven experience in Strategy/ Management Consulting * Proven experience in the commercial vehicle industry, preferably at one of the leading OEMs and/or tier-1 suppliers * Functional know-how of product development, strategic planning, and business intelligence activities in the automotive sector * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with complete fluency in the German and English languages * Work-experience in an international environment will be a plus * Advanced MS Office applications skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel. * The ability to work autonomously and also effectively in a team entourage.
