Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:
We have vacancies for Clinical Development Fellows in a number of Medical Specialties at Kings Mill Hospital, part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a fixed term period of one year with a possibility of being extended to two years. These posts will afford successful applicants the opportunity to experience clinical specialties of professional interest to them prior to committing to a future core or specialty training programme. The construction of the post will be agreed with the successful candidate and will normally be for 12 months in two Medical specialties. However, where candidates career plans would be enhanced by spending 12 months in a single specialty, this will be considered. Specialties will include Acute and Emergency Medicine, General Medical sub-specialties and Geriatric Medicine. This will be an excellent opportunity for doctors who have completed core training and want to improve clinical skills before applying for Specialty post or commencing working towards the Certificate of Eligibility of Specialist Registration. The post holder will be supported by the Clinical Development Programme Director and allocated an Educational supervisor, they will work under supervision with local clinical teams to develop skills in the clinical area. The post will provide excellent experience at a busy friendly District General Hospital. There will be an opportunity to contribute to out of hours activity for the specialty including hospital at night. Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval of training recognition. However, the successful applicants will receive £600 per annum to support agreed development programmes and participation in research and audit activities is strongly encouraged. All candidates will need to hold full GMC registration with a licence to practice at the time of appointment. Evidence of immigration status will need to be provided prior to starting at the Trust. Please visit the home office website for more information.
