This post will provide a specialist service within CAMHS to young people and their families both within the Learning Disability and Autism Team. This is a community-based post, located within Newham CFCS offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessments and treatments to a wide variety of clinical presentations. The post holder will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary team and some specialist pathway work as required. The post holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit.Newham CFCS is a multidisciplinary clinical team working offering direct support to children and families, as well as having embedded practitioners based across education, Childrens Social Care and YOT. We are committed to children and families experiencing a non-stigmatising, collaborative and helpful clinical service, and are committed to user participation.Clinicians work directly with families where there are concerns about a child's emotional wellbeing, behaviour, development or mental health; within the context of presenting difficulties including family and community stressors, educational difficulties, offending behaviours, abuse and neglect, trauma, attachment difficulties, parenting difficulties, deliberate self-harm and substance misuse problems. Practitioners within the service come from a range of professional backgrounds including Nursing, Systemic Psychotherapy Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.You would be based in diverse Plaistow in the London Borough of Newham, with excellent transport hubs and first class personal and professional development opportunities in an award-winning Trust.
