Your challenges

The Global Indirect Procurement team holds the strategic commercial responsibility and has the purpose of improving the overall indirect-related cost base within the VELUX Group. This involves procurement activities within areas such as consultancy services, facilities management, travel management and others. Based in Kolding, you will join a sub-team of 3 that focuses on data processing and business information.

We are undergoing an exciting development journey, and as our new student assistant, you will have a key role in this process:

“We are continuously strengthening our data-driven efforts to further professionalize our indirect procurement activities. By carrying out data analyses and controlling, you help us challenge the status quo and provide us with important input for the business,” explains Rasmus Kjærsgaard Nielsen, Team Lead, Business Development, who you report to.

Through close collaboration with the Indirect Procurement organisation, you will:

Build and analyse KPI reports to facilitate qualified decision-making

Create spend and savings-related reports for procurement activities, for example contract negotiations, projects and more

Support our category managers and buyers in the use of analytical tools (PowerBI amongst) – we will train you in the tools first

Present your solutions and reports to relevant stakeholders

Perform analytical ad hoc tasks

You will work 10-20 hours per week primarily within regular office hours, placed in Kolding. We are flexible in terms of scheduling your hours, especially during your exam periods.

Your qualifications

As a person, you are patient, thrive in an outgoing role supporting your colleagues in our tools and feel that finding the right formula really makes your day. Moreover, you are a fast learner with an analytic mindset, allowing you to absorb yourself in data, and you are able to translate large amounts of data into digestible information.

Furthermore, you:

  • Are studying or about to study for a degree within business economics, preferably focused on topics related to supply chain management, international business, business intelligence or similar
  • Are a superuser in Microsoft Excel, and you have an interest in learning more about general Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, SAP, BusinessObjects etc.
  • Communicate effortlessly in English – both in speech and writing, enabling you to work in an international environment with English as the corporate language
