The ABB Group aims for an integrated and agile Assurance, Risk and Internal Controls (ARIC) framework that is adaptable to a changing environment, able to identify and manage evolving risks, enhances the control environment through effective and efficient internal controls and processes, fosters clear accountability at business level for risks and control activities as well as providing assurance to management. ABB is committed to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley

Act (SOX).

Your role will actively be shaping the next level Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) framework and methodology. You will lead within the ABB Corporate ARIC team the development and roll-out for methodology updates

considering the latest developments including digitalization technology trends. Working hand-in-hand with different Corporate ARIC as well as Business Internal Control team members, you ensure our ICoFR methodology is understood

throughout ABB. In addition, you will support ARIC projects based on special requests.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the ABB Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) Methodology. Maintaining the ICoFR Methodology at a state-of-the-art level in line with good governance practice and particularly in compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX).

• Identifying changing requirements and opportunities and developing enhancements to ABB Group’s current ICoFR Framework & Methodology.

• Communicating and providing expert services to Business internal control teams as well as process owners. Developing training curriculum for internal control methodology and provide trainings accordingly.

• Liaising with ARIC Head Digital & Innovation to implement new technologies into our framework.

• Oversee the methodology changes being implemented in the ABB Group Risk & Control Management (GRCM) tool.

• Acting as sparring partner to stakeholders by providing insight and support and robustly challenging decision making to ensure the optimal framework & methodology solution is achieved.

• Liaising with ABB’s external auditor on methodology and principle matters.

• Leading or contributing to special Assurance, Risk & Internal Control related projects.

Requirements:

• University Master’s degree level in Business Administration or Bachelor with equivalent experience.

• Minimum 10-12 years’ experience roles of increasing responsibility within large audit firms.

• Experience in multinational audits with detailed understanding of PCAOB audit standards and requirements.

• Management level experience in a public entity with responsibility for SOX methodology and compliance is preferred.

• Change management and implementation experience in a public entity providing dynamic methodology, policy and solutions with regards to ICoFR/SOX topical areas.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Highly self-motivated and change driver.

• Fluent in English language (spoken and written); additional languages beneficial given ABB’s global environment.

• Strong intercultural skills, service-oriented mindset and communication skills - both written and oral.

• Proven ability to effectively work under pressure and within tight deadlines. Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.

• Experience in working in a global and virtual team environment.

• Further competencies - Analytical, proactive, accurate, and listening comprehension.
