Faculty of Health Sciences , Department of Nursing and Health Promotion OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University (former HiOA) is Norway's third largest university, with more than 20,000 students and over 2000 employees.
We conduct research in areas that are important for welfare and value creation, for instance health, education, social sciences, technology and design.
OsloMet has an academic stimulating environment with a variety of welfare schemes.
The Faculty of Health Sciences consists of five departments and offers study programmes on all levels, including PhD.
The faculty has about 6000 students and nearly 600 members of staff.
Department of Nursing and Health Promotion is located at all three campus: Kjeller, Pilestredet and Sandvika.
The department has approximately 3000 students and 250 employees.
At the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing and Health promotion, there is a vacancy for a permanent position as an associate professor related to paramedic sciene.
We are looking for someone to take up the position as soon as possible, but no later than on 1 August 2019.
If no applicants with associate professor qualifications apply, an applicant may be appointed to a temporary position as an assistant professor on the condition that he/she qualifies for an associate professor position within three years.
Extensive research activity is conducted at the department, and several research groups have been established.
The Faculty of Health Sciences has two PhD programmes.
Main duties of the position . teaching and supervising students during clinical training and at the simulation and skills centre .R&D activities, publishing and disseminating research results relevant to paramedic science (not applicable to the position of assistant professor) .developing, planning, implementing and evaluating courses in the programme .censoring and development of assessment forms We are looking for candidates who have . relevant education in health sciences, preferably at PhD level .documented paramedic qualifications .theoretical and practical experience of prehospital services .relevant clinical experience .good oral and written communication skills in a Scandinavian language and English If the candidate does not have the required skills in Norwegian or a Scandinavian language, he/she will be offered training to be able to carry out the tasks involved in the position and/or field of work.
You must be able to document Norwegian skills at a level corresponding to at least level B2 within three years of being hired.
It is an advantage if you also have . experience of teaching/supervision at university/university college level .R&D experience and publication activity in the programme's subject areas .experience of digital learning platforms and methods Importance will be attached to documented teaching qualifications and experience.
If you do not have relevant teaching qualifications, you must undertake to complete the university's basic teaching qualification programme (15 credits) within two years.
OsloMet will test teaching qualifications in connection with interviews.

A higher salary may be considered for particularly well-qualified applicants.
