A leading Global Financial Institution is seeking to employ an Associate, Global Banking, based in London. Hours 35 per week/permanent. Competitive salary offered. The role holder will support a Relationship Manager/Regional Account Manager on a portfolio of clients predominantly in the Capital Goods Sector within the UK Multinationals team. They will work closely with the team Director on the Multinationals European proposition and have some exposure to the International Subsidiaries and Transaction Management Sector within the team. The role holder will contribute to the continued development of the HBEU Multinationals business in line with the Global Banking and specifically sector’s strategy. They will work to identify and target new relationships. They will drive utilization of facilities to assist the team in meeting sales targets; prepare credit papers, annual reviews; requests for increases; etc. The role holder will support the achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment, providing support to senior management in identifying strategies to maintain / enhance overall relationship return and ensure early identification of potential credit issues. They will identify marketing opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services; provide general support to the Relationship Managers/Regional Relationship Managers in servicing client relationships and enhancing income generation. The individual will act as a point of contact for clients and internal colleagues, and effectively manage the desk, in absence of Relationship Managers/Regional Relationship Managers. They will assist with the preparation of structured and focused application remarks for clients within the sector, covering annual reviews and new money proposals; complete review and submission of credit risk returns including limit excess/exception, security/documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports etc. The role holder should understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the relevant business The successful candidate will be a graduate and will have the following: · Understanding of risk management and credit mitigants · Strong business development skills · A strong financial analysis capability · Should possess strong analytical skills · Ability to undertake in depth review of industry, competitors, client and products and provide a high quality analysis of Credit risk · Knowledge of regulatory framework and Basel III accord · Ability to develop good working partnerships with credit and product areas · Ability to provide marketing support to Relationship Managers · Ability to establish rapport with appropriate members of client’s management team · Ability to provide good analytical support to Relationship Managers · Strong IT skills (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.) · Ability to research and develop themes for business meetings · Knowledge of the full spectrum of Global Banking & Markets products and services ·
