Duties & Responsabilities: Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML Initiatives: Drive the end-to-end development and deployment of AI/ML models in production environments, from conception to implementation and monitoring.

• Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior AI engineers, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

• Problem Solving: Identify and solve complex business problems using AI/ML techniques, applying critical thinking and creativity.

• Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML and explore new technologies to enhance ArcelorMittal's capabilities.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.

• Communication: Effectively communicate technical concepts and project progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize AI/ML models to ensure high performance, accuracy, and scalability.

Education:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field

• Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect)

• Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)

Skills & Specifications:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models in industrial or production environments.

• Demonstrated in deploying frameworks for responsible AI/ML and leveraging these techniques for tasks such as natural language processing, image generation, anomaly detection, and optimization problems, delivering tangible results and measurable business impact

Work experience requirements: Leadership and Strategy

• Lead the development and implementation of AI strategies to address key business challenges and opportunities.

• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

• Collaborate with senior management to align AI initiatives with business objectives.

Advanced AI and Machine Learning

• Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models to optimize processes and improve decision-making.

• Utilize deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for complex problem-solving.

• Implement advanced techniques such as reinforcement learning, neural networks, and ensemble methods.

MLOps and Scalable Solutions

• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of AI models in production environments using MLOps best practices.

• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of AI solutions through effective use of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Leverage containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) to manage and scale AI applications

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)

• Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure)

• Proficiency in data visualization tools and SQL

• Experience with MLOps practices,

• Knowledge of Rust programming language,  LangChain, LangServe, and Langraph & steel industry is a plus

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and able to collaborate with multi-cultural and multi-located teams

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Active participation in Python, AI, ML, and ESG communities.

Languages:  Fluency in English
