NHS EDUCATION FOR SCOTLAND ADMIN ASSISTANT – MEDICAL (CPD CONNECT) Agenda for Change Band 3; £17, 760 to £20, 727 per annum pro rata Part Time; 15 hours per week Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity to March 2019 Who We Are NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is an education and training body and a special health board within NHS Scotland, with responsibility of developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland. The Medical Directorate is responsible for the commissioning and delivery of postgraduate medical education in Scotland. What You Will Do We are looking for an Admin Assistant to provide robust administrative support to the CPD Connect team across Scotland who are responsible for the delivery of continuing professional development (CPD) for GPs and general practice staff. This post will predominantly support the Practice Based Small Group Learning (PBSGL) service; this includes administration support for training courses and the production of educational modules for study by these groups. Key tasks will include: • Sort information from a range of sources and record data accurately, analysing results and producing reports and statistics, predominantly on an Access database. • Deal professionally with a range of enquiries from managers, staff and external customers to the department/directorate about the educational resources and training provided. • Responsible for the day to day management of the Practice Based Small Group Learning (PBSGL) service across Scotland and the development, implementation and maintenance of office practices and procedures to enable effective working across the geographically disparate team. • Provide administration services in own designated area of work and also in support of the wider department, maintaining confidentiality where appropriate. • Provide keyboard skills and/or support including diary management, dealing with mail, taking minutes and providing support on day to day matters as required.
