Care First Recruitment Ltd currently require Care and Support Workers for various London boroughs within an extra care scheme. Extra care schemes are responsible for providing effective care and support services for services users living within the scheme or within the local community. You will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, undertake aspects of personal care and support service users in line with and within service plans whilst maintaining good relationships with service users. You will be required to take care of your own safety and that of other people, particularly with respect to welfare and safeguarding issues. You will be responsible for reporting anything that may pose a risk to the health and safety or safeguarding/welfare of ourself or others. Key Responsibilities: - Provide care and support for service users to enable them to maximise their own potential/level of independence - Work with service users and other staff to ensure that a clean and comfortable communal environment is maintained - Assist and encourage service users to access and maintain a level of integration into and the wider community - Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, through accurate and timely reporting - Providing care to vulnerable people of an age range of 19-90 - You will need to be able to administer medication - Flexible within the days and times that you work Qualifications, Work Experience and Skills: You will need to hold a level 2 diploma in health and social care or equivalent, Administering of Medication training, satisfactory enhanced DBS, some experience of working with relevant client group or in the care sector. Essential skills: Literacy, numeracy, basic Microsoft word or similar, email and internet communications.
