Do you want to be part of a highly skilled team of travel technicians providing onsite support to our offshore wind farms? Join us and become Specialist Travel Technician in Special Tasks, which operates across all offshore wind farms within the Group's portfolio and, among other things, is responsible for the execution of uptower drivetrain repairs, replacement of major components from jack-up vessels and drivetrain endoscopic inspections. We are also responsible for conducting walk-down inspections in WTGs and acting as client representative on high-priority tasks. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1,800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe, and we are expanding with international activities in the US and Asia-Pacific. Your place of employment may be either our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia. However, you should notice that you will be working from one of our offshore wind farm sites, and your base of accommodation will depend on the activity to be performed, meaning that both offshore and onshore accommodation must be expected. You will primarily be working in a 14/14 rota system: 12-hour shift pattern per day for 14 days followed by an off period of 14 days. The rota may be changed at one month’s notice, but will never exceed a 14-day working period. Meetings, training and travel activities must to some extent be expected in the off period. Your key tasks will be to ?enforce ‘The safe way or no way’ ?carry out endoscopic inspections of the entire drivetrain, but also carry out walk-down inspections of the entire turbine and carry out repair and replacement activities of major components in WTGs ?act as client representative on high-priority tasks in WTGs ?promote high work ethics and performance ?provide input for the development of tools, RAMS and work instructions and participate in meetings/workshops to share field experience to support WTG operation efficiencies and performance. Your qualifications and core competences include that you ?have a relevant education and extensive technical skills acquired from working with drivetrain systems in wind turbines, preferably Siemens wind turbines, and knowledge of the offshore wind power industry ?have an aptitude for working at heights and offshore (essential), and you must be prepared to enter into a scheduled training programme for a period of approximately one year ?thrive on taking on complex technical challenges and coming up with professional technical solutions ?have the ability to establish, maintain and develop effective relationships with a hands-on mentality ?speak and write English fluently. It is important that you are willing to work in a team, but also that your are willing to work and act as a team lead on technical tasks and activities.
