DEIF Wind Power Technology is a small division in the DEIF group, and we are brought into life to make the world's best quality controls for wind turbine manufacturers, based on the latest technologies. We have concluded a number of agreements with several leading wind turbine owners about new retrofit projects, where our task is to upgrade the customers' megawatt turbines with DEIF's innovative and optimised control solutions. In continuation of the retrofit projects, we have decided to set up an application entity in the Business Park, Silkeborg, and it is for this new unit we are now looking for software engineers who want to contribute to making wind turbine solutions greener. The job: You will have great influence on our wind turbine solutions, and you will be playing an important role in ensuring that the turbine's electrical and mechanical devices are interacting. You are going to perform customer projects from beginning to end. This means that a large part of the daily work will be focused on the commissioning of wind turbines and will take place at the customer's location on windmill sites primarily in Europe. You will be in contact with customers in the day-to-day operation, where you need to take care of support, counselling and training in extension of the commissioning. In connection with commissioning, you must expect travel activities up to 40 days a year. Your primary tasks: Design and customise wind turbine solutions for new and old wind turbines in the multi-MW class Drafting of requirements specifications, review and testing, validation of various simulation platforms and establish procedures for software releases Responsible for performing Factory Acceptance Test Responsible for the installation of the entire turbine for the Site Acceptance Test Run measurement campaigns for optimisation of turbine performance The person: You will be responsible for the development and implementation of green technologies for large MegaWatt turbines, in our current projects and in future projects. It is essential that you have programming skills, mechanical understanding and, not least, experience with development of software for control of mechanics and power electronics. You also have experience within control and regulation, C programming and CODESYS. It is an advantage if you have worked with CANopen, Profibus and embedded Linux and matlab simulink. You have also tried your strength against automation programming, preferably within the wind turbine industry, but this is not a necessity. You have to be able to make independent decisions, but you also know that the road to the solution of problems is found through networking and knowledge sharing. The workplace is at our new office in Silkeborg, opening 1 March 2017. The office is situated in scenic surroundings, and you will become part of a new team that will be collaborating with some of the world's leading wind turbine owners. We work closely with our customers from project start to commissioning and support, and we are looking for dedicated software engineers for projects with a large focus on linking reality and logic together for the best performance on the customer's turbine.
