The Royal Hotel, Oban is recruiting a Reception Manager to lead our hard working Reception & Reservations Department. A part of the family run Strathmore Hotels, The Royal Hotel is a 91 bedroom hotel with facilities for hosting conferences, banquets, parties and large weddings. Our guests range from leisure guests to large coach parties. With an ability to lead by example, you will be responsible for the smooth running of a department which oversees the taking of bookings by telephone, email and via third party websites and build a rapport with our established customer base, whilst through outstanding customer service ensuring that the customer base continues to grow. Computer literacy is a must as you will be ensuring that all communication between departments, management, guests and clients is handled efficiently as well as running reports for departments within the hotel and for head office. As a member of our team you will be expected to comply with all aspects of Health & Safety, Fire & Company regulations at all times. Previous experience from a Management/Supervisor role within the hospitality industry is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided with the possibility for career progression. The ideal candidate will have experience in using PMS systems, online booking sites, extranets and reporting. Perks include discounted rates for stays in the 7 hotels in the Strathmore Hotels group.
