We are currently looking for a full time Band 7 Moving and Handling Co-ordinator to provide training, support and on site leadership within Barts Health. This post holder will be based at the Royal London hospital however the successful candidate will be expected to work across all sites when required. The Royal London Hospital, Newham University Hospital, St Bartholomew's Hospital and Whipps Cross University Hospital. The newly merged trust has a highly skilled Moving and Handling team based across all main sites. We are responsible for delivering training and also supporting frontline clinical and non-clinical staff promoting safety at work. It is paramount to us as a team to minimize Musculo-skeletal injuries to patients and staff promoting safe systems of work. We are looking for a post holder who will need to be able to demonstrate that they have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good IT skills. The ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team is essential. They will be the moving and handling site based lead and have line management responsibility for two Moving and Handling Trainers. This post is full time 5 days a week. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of relevant legal influences in the field; an understanding of the ergonomic principles involved, and of the risk assessment processes required, work towards reducing musculoskeletal injuries arising from work related activity.
